The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Org. (Saso)

The Saso released the technical regulations for the underrun protective devices in trucks. This standard is concerned with the requirements for the rear underrun protective devices (RUPD) of trucks and trailers having a maximum mass exceeding 3.5 tonnes used for the carriage of goods. This standard does not apply to Traction units for articulated vehicles, special trailers constructed for the carriage of very long loads such as timber, steel bars etc.
