Please be advised that there are important changes to the Approval Procedures in Mexico for radio and telecommunications equipment. The new regulations are now in effect.

Mexico – New Conformity Assessment Procedure for Radio/Telecom In Force Now Effective February 25, 2021, Mexico has implemented new procedures for approval that will impact all products, equipment, devices, apparatus, and infrastructure for telecommunications or broadcasting that can be connected to a network of telecommunications and/or make use of radio spectrum. Included in the new regulations are 4 "Type Approval Schemes". Moving forward with IFETEL certificates for radio/telecom devices, it will be required to issue the certificates in the name of a local importer.
